Actress Carole Lombard Autograph 3X5 Died1942

She was particularly noted for her comedic roles in several classic films of the 1930s. She is listed as one of the american film institute's greatest stars of all time. Married to actor clark gable she died in 1942 while on a war bond rally when the plane crashed into a mountain outside of las vegas nevada. Obtained as part of a collection of autographed 3x5 index/linen cards purchased this week directly from the son of the original collector who had written to various celebrities in 1932-1934 requesting thier autographs and recieved the autograph through the mail in compliance with the request. The cards are all dated on the reverse with the month adn year the autograph was recieved.
